Principal Designer, Claire Saksun

Saksun Studio is a design office based in Vancouver Canada, specializing in custom residential and hospitality spaces.  


Drawing on Claire’s background in hospitality, Saksun Studio places a strong emphasis on creating welcoming environments — whether for a home or a restaurant. Each project begins with the people who will inhabit it, shaping spaces that are functional, personal, and grounded in warmth. Natural materials and collected objects lend a relaxed authenticity to the work.


Collaboration is integral to the practice. The studio works closely with artists and makers whose contributions bring individuality and meaning to each project. By balancing handmade elements with refined minimal detailing, Saksun Studio creates spaces that feel both personal and sophisticated. The result is an elevated modern character that remains full of life.

Claire Saksun has a Masters in Architecture from the University of British Columbia and a BA from McGill University.

Before starting the studio, Claire worked in a wide range of architecture offices including Scott Posno Design and Carscadden Stokes McDonald Architects.
